AARP caught in the Act again!

The AARP has apparently been caught in the act of promoting its own self interest above that of its members again- see the attached story.Click here: AARP Medicare Copayment Increases | US Senators | The Daily Caller
Dan Weber, AMAC’s president said, “Why didn’t AARP simply tell the truth and say that they would benefit by what they were lobbying for. Then they could have said the main reason they are against the changes in the co payments is to protect their members. What’s wrong with telling the truth?”

I will definitely NOT joining AARP. Seems they are profiting from the old to give to their liberal agendas. Many other organizations for retirees now a day. If AARP was there first, does not mean it good for me or represent my view as of now. Hope they would stop sending junk mail begging for money.

To make the 2016 budget work the president and Congress shifted 181 billion from social security trust fund to the budget. AARP did not even emit a whisper about this raid on social security. The this-is-why-we did-it speak from republicans is that it was used to prop up disability fund. But that fund has little funding from our social security payments we make from our paychecks and still doesn’t. Why didn’t they increase funding or shift money from other programs? If you vote for your nice-guy republican no-tax guy this year just remember how much regard they have for seniors. They are other ways for them to take your money without raising taxes, they just did it.

The AARP’s members are democrats, republican and independents… Their agendas should be representative of their members, in other words they should be neutral. Until that time I will NOT become a member.

The liberal political views that have unfortunately permeated, as well as self servingly influenced a once great AARP organization is not surprising given the moral decay in this once great country!! It has already been clearly confirmed that Obama is simply a puppet for a handfull of world elitist who funded his campain, and are striving for a one world government! From what I have read, they are also attempting to collapse our monetary system to establish a one world currency which they would control! Read and Stay informed, this is real stuff!!

to collapse our monetary system and our democracy to form a one world government!

How the last three democratic administrations crippled the american retirement population and blaimed it on the Republicans. Clinton left a surplus at the cost of Social Security.

History Lesson on Your Social Security Card

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this.

It’s easy to check out, if you don’t believe it. Be sure and show it to your family and friends. They need a little history lesson on what’s what and it doesn’t matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts.

Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes.

Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message, NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed.

An old Social Security card with the “NOT FOR DENTIFICATION” message.

Our Social Security
Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary,
No longer Voluntary

2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of their annual Incomes into the Program,
Now 7.65% on the first $90,000

3.) That the money the participants elected to put into the Program would be deductible from their income for tax purposes each year,
No longer tax deductible

4.) That the money the participants put into the independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the general operating fund, and therefore, would only be used to fund the Social Security Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and,
Under Johnson the money was moved to The General Fund and Spent

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees would never be taxed as income.
Under Clinton & Gore Up to 85% of your Social Security can be Taxed

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are now receiving a Social Security check every month —
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the Federal government to ‘put away’ — you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the independent ‘Trust Fund’ and put it into the general fund so that Congress could spend it?
A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?
A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social Security annuities?
A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the ‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

Q: Which Political Party decided to start
giving annuity payments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE:

A: That’s right!
Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! The Democratic Party gave these payments to them, even though they never paid a dime into it!

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!

I find the AARP’s move to the far left offensive, but I also find the liberal-bashing on AMAC equally offensive. As a Libertarian, I am mostly a fiscal conservative/social liberal and I find myself swimming in a sea of extremism. I’m not inclined to join either organization.

10% reduction in federal spending IS NOT ENOUGH for your petition. Knowing how this congress & so called potus spend, spend, spend 10% won’t touch the interest. Nor do they follow their own laws (HR 9214) & this congress & its disgusting bunch on the hill are not helping any American citizen. Let’s get back to basics & priortize what our founding fathers gave us. A Constitution that gave us this great REPUBLIC.

Its high time somebody began to call out AARP on their consistent liberal political views and actions. I really don’t think most seniors realize just how far to the left AARP is and that their dues are only given to liberal democratic causes. As soon as I heard about AMAC on Sean Hannity I cancelled my UURP membership and medicare policy. SHAME on AARP for going against the very people they represent !!

Just found out about your organization and am interested. AARP article prompted a question: Where do you disclose if you retain a financial interest in plans and endorsements in which you’re involved? Just want true comparisons between you and AARP before I join

The 95th. congress passed HR 9214 which amended the Wood’s act..
HR 9214 section 7 states: The total outlay of the Federal government may not exceeds its receipts. This act requires a balance budget. Therefore every voter should be calling, & e-mailing their representatives to remind them of HR9214 and ask why they are not following the law as required by this bill HR9214?. This bill was passed to satisfied the IMF because the IMF was fearfull that USA would not meet funding requirement obligations for the IMF.

Talk to the seniors at your church. I found that our associate pastor and his wife were giddy to show off their new AARP card, laughing that they are now old enough to join AARP. They did not know how AARP undermines our faith and its principles. I showed they AMAC, and now hope they will convert to AMAC ASAP! Ask YOUR brethren if they know the truth!!

I wrote AARP to tell them not to send me their mailers. Their response was a letter telling me that my private information was accidentally released. I did not know that hoffa work for those guys.

I joined AMAC when you started. I know it takes time, but any organization has to offer real alternatives, not just being against another organization. One of these days, have a list showing what they do, what you do and why. Keep it up!

I have never been a member of AARP because I saw it from the beginning.I have been looking for an alternative a long time. i haven’t needed any of their services and dislike their liberal magazine.I joined AMAC because I want to belong to a senior group that I like what it stands for. I am a conservative.

I LOVE AMAC! I joined AARP the day I turned 50 and dropped them and demanded a refund the day I read their diatribe supporting Obamacare. I take every opportunity I can to tell folks about AMAC and to steer them away from AARP!
