AMAC: Boehner Lawsuit Would ‘Expose Deficiencies’ of Government

Association Chief Dan Weber says it will ‘represent a triumph of spirit for future generations’

By – John Grimaldi

WASHINGTON, DC, June 26 – House Speaker John Boehner’s proposed lawsuit against President Obama, charging him with exceeding his Constitutional powers, is attracting broad based support.  Even law professor Jonathan Turley, a well-known supporter of the president said he crossed the line, according to Dan Weber, president of the Association of Mature American Citizens.

Weber issued the following statement in the aftermath of Mr. Boehner’s announcement yesterday:

“The will of the president — not the will of the people — has prevailed in Washington in recent years resulting in a struggling no-growth economy, a lack of jobs, a health care system in shambles, and an anemic foreign policy.  Indeed, there are those who delight in the left turn the country has made over the past five years.

“But, I dare say that the majority of the nation longs for the days when we could keep our doctors if wanted to, when we could go out and get better jobs, when we had a few extra bucks in our pockets.  We can all remember when being an American meant taking responsibility for ourselves, not having to rely on the largesse of government for handouts.  And, of course, there was a time when American exceptionalism was a trait admired by our allies and feared by our enemies.

“Thus, we praise Speaker Boehner for mustering the courage to institute a law suit that has the objective of returning the power of governance to we, the people, as intended by the Constitution.  The legal process is replete with uncertainty, but in this case it is a necessary first step if we are to win back our rights and our self-respect.

“As Professor Turley put it, ‘when the president went to Congress and said that he was going to go it alone, it obviously raises a concern because there’s no license for going it alone in our system.’

“If Mr. Boehner’s suit prevails, it will be a victory for the nation.  In any case, the slow and thorough examination of the facts will expose the deficiencies of the government as it has evolved in recent years and that will represent a triumph of spirit for future generations.”

NOTE TO EDITORS: Dan Weber is available for telephone interviews on this issue.  Editors and reporters may contact John Grimaldi by phone at 917-846-8485 or via email at [email protected] to set up a call.

I pray for John Boehner and my country every day. America is in a bad way and in danger of getting much worse. Please join me in prayer for her.

There have only been 2 presidents since 1797 who have been impeached by the House of Representatives, Andrew Johnson & Bill Clinton. Richard Nixon resigned before he could be impeached. In Johnson’s case the Senate was 1 vote short of the two-thirds majority required to convict. The Senate acquitted Clinton (guess who was in the majority at the time). Even if we keep control of the House & regain control of the Senate it will be impossible to impeach Obama unless the Republicans have a 2/3 majority in the Senate.

Thank you for posting this information. I have wondered why no one was trying to impeach Obama and your history lesson really helped me to understand.

The Constitution provides a remedy for lawless action by a President. It’s impeachment! When will our politicians from both parties stand up and do their jobs?

you’re right. They don’t have the guts for impeachment. Boehner just wants to pacify us with this lawsuit.

If politicians do not change their ways of thinking that they work for the people, and stand up for what right for the country and not for their own pocket book, they should go also.

I heard a lawyer on Fox News say that the President of the United States has immunity and cannot be sued by anyone. This is why he Boehner cannot sue President Obama. If this is true, President Obama can continue acting over and above the law (including the Constitution) when making decisions or creating new laws. Nothing can get in his way and all he needs is his pad and pencil.

I’d like to see Boehner sue King Barrak, but I’m afraid he will get us all fired up for nothing. I don’t think he has the backbone to do it. Of course the left will say it’s because he’s black.
Obama is an empty suit, a fraud, a straw man, etc. He needs to be taken down and there’s talk that he wants Michele to run in 2016. UGH.

Again, as is usual with these posts and comments, I see many coherent, intelligent, and pointed comments (mostly).
However, also as usual, very few comments are directed at the ROOT of the problem .. the American Citizen.

Until WE, the American citizen, get off our behinds and TAKE ACTION nothing will happen! Until the American citizen realizes that the things that are happening in our government DOES effect them, nothing will happen.

Until the American citizen raises up their collective voice and DEMANDS action, nothing will happen.

We, as American citizens, should all be writing or calling our “elected” representatives on a daily basis, and DEMANDING that they take positive & immediate action. Let them know that they have a choice their jobs or the Presidents job; one or the other must go!

We, as American citizens, should DEMAND the impeachment of this administration and the immediate repeal of every unlawful bill passed by this administration.

We, as American citizens, should DEMAND changes like: term limitation, no deficient spending, closure of redundant agencies, secure borders, end “special benefits” for congress (they should get what we get, and it should end when their job ends), raises for Congress based on “popular vote” not Congressional votes (I’ve never been able to give myself a raise without asking the boss), foreign policy that keeps our troops AT HOME an out of the business of other sovereign governments (let them solve their problems, we need to solve our own first), and possibly most importantly the repeal of two acts; the War Powers Act, that allows the President to commit troops without the approval of Congress, and the Federal Reserve Act that took away control of American currency and gave it to the “Federal Reserve”(a private company) and the I.R.S. the corrupt strong arm for the Federal Reserve. Put this nation back on the gold standard, not Federal Reserve Notes (debt).

I’m an old man, I can remember when this country was strong and proud, when people were proud to be an American Citizen and when our seniors (like myself) could earn money and not have to rely on government handout that forced them to make a choice between food & medicine.

Our population has been seriously diluted by unlawful immigration & our government giving them MORE help than the give to lawful citizens and immigrants. I am all for people coming to America for a better life, but that better life should not start by breaking the laws of the very nation they seek to join.

Where are the American Citizens, have they all become so apathetic that they will hand over their country to self serving, greed driven individuals?

Michael, sorry to have waited so long to let you know that I appreciate your standing up for this country and those suggestions for correction of the problem. It is easy to understand were you are coming from and it’s also easy to agree with you on many points.
We may not always respond (there’s already 4 pages to these comments); rest assured many have read what you have said and also likely to agree with most of what was said.
Yes, some things would likely be approached differently, like term limits, but over-all, a good start.

What I think you are driving at is the political equivalent of the rampant secularization of the populace. In other words, too few people are idealogical in their thinking. They are practical/pragmatic in their thinking. They hear others ranting over current events and look around them and see no cataclysm, no bread lines. Twenty year olds are driving new cars, gas is available and the power comes on at will. They hear of looming disaster, but it doesn’t seem any closer now than six years ago. They conclude that those of us who look thru an idealogical lens are looking thru a glass, darkly. They flip on the boob tube and are reassured if normalcy. In short, many who are hard working people are intellectually lazy. They don’t want to deal w the situation as it is, so they turn their attention away. Sadly, it will take real suffering for these types to wake up. No one wants that but I fear nothing else will suffice.

Sorry. Your post read real well but you just don’t get it. Writing to thieves and liars won’t get you anywhere. Standing up and shouting and demanding won’t get you anywhere. Thieves and liars won’t listen and only care about themselves and their own agendas. Only looking down the barrel of a loaded gun will make a difference to these thugs. Voting takes too long and hardly ever do we like the results. Time for action of a certain caliber. All cowards please clear the way.

Tony, are you ready to fight F16s and F21s with a semi-automatic, or do you have a source for rockets and missils? How many armored cars do you have access to? Any tanks?
If you live in the mountains out west, is the combatant population dense enough to withstand an Afghan type resistance?
And just in case you haven’t caught on yet, let me inform you that most of us are too old to belly whomp on the ground and initiate continued fire from a prone position. Some of us couldn’t even get back up, and even if we possessed body armor, we wouldn’t be able to lift it to put it on, especially if it had front and rear 15 lb ballistic ceramic panels. You want to go to war with a bunch of old worn out codgers that you’d end up leaving behind or risking yourself by trying to save them? Well, then go ahead, but I’d prefer to try my vote with ballots first before advocating for voting with bullets.
Yes, it may come to that eventually but until the situation is really determined not to be otherwise reversable, I’d rather not go there yet.

Very well said Ivan. I was going to respond to Tony myself, but you summed up the flaws of his suggestion nicely. Well done! Voting is still the best option to effect change. We just have to find ways to motivate a largely apathetic public to see it’s in their own best self-interest to get involved and start making intelligent choices, while they still have an ability to make any choices.

Anyone who thinks that a subset of the American population that actually gives a damn about the Constitution, the overall direction of the country and the rule of law, essentially the older, generally wiser and more conservative portion of the population, would be able to successfully stand up to the combined military might of out armed forces and the dozens of federal agencies that now have their own heavily-armed “swat teams”, “security forces” and “tactical intervention response teams” is really deluding themselves. Remember the Homeland Security purchase of over a billion rounds of ammo a few years back? That’s was just for their small arms and enough ammo to supply a 10 year war effort. The administration successfully stonewalled that story until the public moved on to the next fiasco.

If anything, any such uprising or “voting with bullets” would merely present a golden opportunity for Washington to declare marshal law, “clean house” of the resistance to progressive change and accelerate the transformation process of this country to its end result even faster. Somehow I don’t think a bunch of guys with rifles and hand guns would fare too well against a drone flying at 50,000 feet armed with hellfire missiles. Yes, we may eventually get to that point as a last resort, but it’s certainly not the preferred avenue and it’s no where near time to even consider going there yet.

Steven C

Michael,

I, also, am an old man and I remember the things you mentioned in your comments. I regret that I have to agree with the theme of your commentary. I don’t like the changes that have been made in our country by this president – or some of the changes that have occurred slowly over many years.

I believe John Boehner, and his lawsuit against the president, will follow the same course Boehner usually does. It is all posturing (election coming up). Historically, Boehner comes out strutting with strong words regarding something the president has done (or said); the rhetoric will continue for as long as he can ‘milk’ it; then, the storm of indignation and the rhetorical fire, will fade into oblivion. The result is always the same. Boehner will acquiesce and nothing will be resolved.

Apathetic Americans? Too many people are only interested in what they can get from the government without having to expend any effort themselves. Almost half of the people in the nation are totally non-productive, in any sense of the term, but especially for the country. They have their hands out for the government to fill with unearned benefits. All that succeeds in accomplishing is getting a larger, ever-growing government. More ‘government’ is always needed to distribute the ‘freebies’ to the citizens (and non-citizens) that haven’t earned them but know how to work the system.

We have become a nation that is top-heavy with bureaucrats and politicians that have spent their lives at the government teat. Big government represents power to them and their ilk. Their first priority, always, is getting re-elected and they do that by having ‘power’. One way they achieve their goals is to have the people of the nation dependent on government and another is through intimidation. Not what our founders had in mind, I believe.

I can remember, as can you I’m sure, when the people that came to this country for a better life wanted to become citizens of our country, to become Americans. During WWII, that is what made us strong as a nation. Americans, people from all over the globe, united with one purpose, to make this nation better, stronger and more productive. The Best-of-the-Best.

That is not the case today. The people coming to America now have no desire to become part of this country. They want to establish their own cultural enclaves within our country instead of contributing to the growth of America. Multiculturalism, as they would have it, does not unify but has a factionalizing effect that is detrimental to a nation. And, I believe, there is a growing segment of our political body that likes it that way.

Lastly, I must agree that it is a shame when our own government is so skewed that it seems to enforce only the laws it chooses to. It will not close our borders and enforce laws regarding illegal immigration. It does not prosecute arms smugglers, drug traffickers or crimes committed with illegal firearms. But, watch out Boy Scouts of America.

Americans have become apathetic, lazy, dependent and most don’t care what’s going on in Washington or elsewhere – as long as it doesn’t mess up their golf game, video game, or sports event. The Democrats will have the edge both during the midterms and the 2016 election if SOMETHING or SOMEONE can’t stir up the base Republican voters. They won’t even get out to vote – so maybe we should send out stamped self addressed ballots – they could surely walk them to the mail box!!!

We talk a lot about current events and what’s happening around us — and it’s frightening, disheartening, and scary! The scariest is that younger folks are like sponges – soaking up the lies, deceit and pure bird splat that Obama is selling; the middle aged are scrambling to feed their families, put kids through school, and plan for retirement, and the Seniors seem to be the only ones with ‘a plan’ or enough gumption to say, “we’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it any more”.

A lawsuit? What a joke. Boehner has the power of the purse but he refuses to use it, as evidence by his silence when the president wrongfully equated default with the debt ceiling This is really all that is available to him, as the senate continues to be stupefied by Harry Reids incessant semi-coherent mumblings about the Koch brothers [impeachment proceedings do not fit into that picture at present].
Perhaps the senate can be snapped out of it with some targeted agency cuts that expire with the resignations of key bad players: Lois Lerner and Eric Holder should be at the top of the list.

By his actions, it is obvious that Obama resents the U.S. Constitution and its concept of co-equal branches of government that have a voice in getting things done. He routinely blasts the Republican-controlled House of Representatives as is they have no legitimate role in governing. He openly criticizes SCOTUS when they issue rulings with which he disagrees. This guy sees himself as some sort of omnimpotent dictator, who wants to control everything and re-make America into what HE thinks it ought to be – not what the Founders envisioned. This lawsuit is the only way to stop him, because the lapdog national media will never factually report on his abuses.

And the lapdog media will only report that poor President Obama “because he’s black” is being picked on, judged, and mistreated by the mean Republicans. As much as I’d love to see Dr. Ben Carson win the Republican nomination and run in 2016; I don’t know if I can take any more years of hearing “racist this and racist that” = = and I suspect the Lamestream Media-ites would do it in reverse, just to make a point. Somehow, some way, they’d manage to turn it into a racial issue. This country has gone backwards 60 years in race relations, in my view. I don’t care if Obama is black, half black, black with sugar —- incompetent comes in all colors! Michael Sanders said it best, and I don’t care how many times the lie is spoken, Mr. Obama hates America, Americans, their ideals, goals, and family ties. He had a disjointed upbringing, was a student of disjointed philosophies, has delusions of grandeur (and adequacy) but as far as being a 10 year “law professor” and some of the other things his resume claims —- I’m from Missouri – SHOW ME!!! The very fact that his past is so well hidden speaks volumes – but the glassy eyed followers believe his every word. He’s “cool Daddy” can scat like Al Green, hob nob with the movie stars, crack jokes on talk shows, but make important leadership decisions? No way….. He’s tiring of the daily routine of trying to look smart and be important — time to find a beach somewhere and settle in with a little Saul Alinsky and a cocktail. I hope, if nothing else, Congress grows enough hair on their chests to block some of his dangerous “exec orders” – somehow – because after the fact won’t get it.

I have never trusted Obama! His ten years listening to Rev Wright’s ranting about how bad America is; and, then his “denial” that he agreed with his pastor, despite being friends for more than 15 years, showed a man who had no scruples, morals, or ethics. His right to run for the Presidency was a put up job. About the same time, with a few pieces of information, I had a State Certified birth certificate with all the usual information. Any citizen born in this country, even if they have denounced their citizenship, can acquire their birth certificate as easily – even orphans. His wife, in making the statement during his nomination that for the first time she liked America – a woman who used every advantage this Nation offered to raise herself to an important position. What I didn’t hear was the “hatred, greed, and lack of ethics” that Rev Wright instilled in her over more than a decade. The same man that she dragged her daughters to hear. For the vast majority of Americans “race” is no longer an issue – it’s the individual. If a black . . . (I despise the term African American. The only African Americans in this country are those that have immigrated from Africa. Many are white from South Africa. Some from Egypt that don’t consider themselves black or Arab). . . , individual makes a choice to learn they will acquire the tools to improve themselves. Sadly, too many see professional black athletes as role models and chose to “play” sports. It’s too late when they realize they are told they will never be good enough. The black community must stop shouting “racism” when the problem is they haven’t the courage to tell their child that they will be prepared for life by learning and not chasing impossible dreams. Black professionals need to be honest with the children and tell them they{the athletes} are blessed; and, NOT to follow their path but discover their own. Again, Obama is not the role model young black children need to follow. His behavior is considered “classic” by the mental health community. Over aggressive in parts of his administration and life. Loss of temper and self control in another part. A man that wasn’t exposed to a true male role model. His father marrying his mother just to say he had a white woman. It’s all about the meaningless things that this energy is used to consume. My 20 years of military service was during the period when the military was making an effort to truly integrate the services. In my field, less than 1% of the young blacks were able to succeed. I spent a tour as a technical instructor. I had two classes of black airmen. I went to work early to spend time with students that were struggling, during class I used dozens of examples to explain a mechanical action, or electrical circuit. And, then after a 30 minute lunch, I was back spending time with students that were struggling. The experience gave me an appreciation of what goes on in a young black man’s mind. Nearly all were raised by their mothers alone. The men in their lives were just men brought home by their mother. Men who became abusive when the boys didn’t like what he was doing to their mother. I had many tell me that they really didn’t trust black men or men of any color. Sad place to be when your life is just starting. But, I wasn’t there when they needed the stability and a good role model. The “survived” and learned to “hate”. Obama reminds me of these young men that I spent long hours teaching not only the course material; but, about what their futures would look like if they didn’t start thinking about self-improvement. Two did hear me. Both became officers latter in their careers. So, if we get rid of the Obamas, Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, and the Rev Wrights it will be a step in giving the black children of this Nation as good a chance of succeeding as any other child.

Michael Sanders, I can see why KarenFaye (see above) said that you said it best. As an aside, in my term in the Air Force, I had one classmate that was black in the early digital computer era. At one point I had a class under a black civilian instructor. Both these men represented the total of black participants in that technical arena. Yes, they were smart. And each had been raised in a two parent home. It’s amazing what upbring can contribute.

our country don’t need change as it was doing alright without interference from any one
We all need God in our lives and our country and we shouldn’t have to give up our religion and our freedoms because President O bama said so and the UCLA can go put their heads in the sand and leave us alone as most people in the USA believe in GOD and we are going to keep it that way.

Mary, we all share your dismay at what has been happening to our beloved country.
It has been generally easy to be motivated to pray for our country. Mr. Obama has made it extremly difficult to get up enough interest in praying for our leaders, at least for that leader. The only prayer that I can see for him is for his evil to end. In human terms, he has already caused enough damage that he doesn’t even deserve salvation, but then in Godly terms, none of us do.

For some time now, I have been thinking about Pres. Abraham Lincoln and that his main concern was to free the slaves and keep the country (union) together. It was a tough battle but he won. Ironically, now, we have an African-American in the white house who, because of his policies and socialistic philosophy, seems to be doing all he can to put us all back on the plantation, black, white, and everyone in between, with him as the slave master and others of like mind. Only by God’s grace and mercy, and every God-fearing American praying for His help, will we be able to see our country healed.

Reply to  AnnNeal

Many people of the southern States do not agree with your view of Lincoln, even though many schools have taught just what you have expressed. However, that aside for a moment, what you have said, AnnNeal, is the agenda for many in government.
The mid to late sixties saw the beginning of a near total franchise for the people of color in our general nation, not perfect but better than ever before. Some take exception to MLKings using the socialists or communists to help him in his cause. I really think it likely was the other way around. I think they were using him. But he did get things done, not all in his lifetime, but he left a legacy we can all be proud of. It’s those who came into power later who have given equal rights a bad name, the Jessie Jacksons and Al Sharptons of this world. Devisive to say the least.
It has been thus. At last the Black Man (and woman &child) was really free. Now 40+years later, they (the rulers) want to enslave us all. The blacks were only free for a very short time.
Now, the southern take on Lincoln: his army invaded the south. They laid waste to the central valley of Virginia (Gen. Sherridan), to the State of Georgia to the sea (Sherman) and played havock in Kentucky and Tennessee
Grant) using the scorched earth policy of total war in which men, women, children and the blacks who served them suffered death and privation at the hand of the Union Army, who plundered and burned what could have sustained the civilian population.
The issue of slavery was viewed as a public relations move to take the European support of the south away by making it appear slavery had been the issue all along, wrongly it is thought.
The Union was saved alright at the point of a gun. The southern States would remain free whether they wanted it or not. The Union was preserved by force. States that had agreed to a contract that was spelled out were forced into a new contract. Volentarily joining no longer meant you could volentarily un-join.
No one knows how it would have played out had the Confederates been allowed to peacefully leave the Union, but it was not allowed. But “Honest Abe” is no hero to the south.
Europe freed its slaves with little fanfare and not much strife. Reparations for property would have cost both sides much less than did a war that costs about 5% of the total (if my memory serves me) population in just the soldiers, not counting civilian populations. Abe suspended the Constitution to get his war powers insured.
Granted the evils of Reconstruction were after his death, but without the war there would have been no opportunity for Reconstruction. How would you like to live under Marshall Law ( military dictatorship). The south lived that way for years. They were forced to remain in a Union that had broken the terms of the document that had joined them in the first place. They weren’t needed in the early 1860s, but they had been in the late 1770s when the contract was made.
I like when everyone understands that just because historians call some a hero does not a hero make. Not every time and not for everyone. We are allowed our differences of opinion, so far. But maybe just so far.

I lay awake at night and wonder how our great country has fallen into the hands of a person that shows hatred and disrespect toward her. I also wonder if the people who did not vet obama and voted for him just to say they voted for the first black American president are proud of their actions. These are the same people that Rush has labeled “low information voters,” and they will never be willing to listen to any statements that might make their king look bad. I only hope that the day comes when we, who know what he is all about, are able to expose obama for the incompetent person that he is, and get our country back on the right track. God help us !!

I am an old lady, and I admit that I am afraid for the first time in my life in my own country, not just for myself but the younger people that I love. I am a firm believer in the Constitution, and have spent the last six years saying, “he can’t do that”. To my horror America is in the hands of a Muslim, who is a complete fraud in every way. Our Congress will not even force his records to be revealed. I am in favor of the law suit or anything that might keep this man from doing further damage to America. We should not have Mosques in this country or the 37 Jihad training camps that exist here now. We should deport Muslims as well as all illegal aliens, or we will be hurt from within. The House should withhold all funds from the EPA, the BLM, the NSA and all of Obama’s little pet agencies and projects. The Constitution does not even mention an Executive Order, therefore we can ignore them all. The Constitution also says that other than his salary, the President receives no other emolument from the Government or any State. Therefore, he should be billed for all of his vacations and personal expenses such as dog trainers, food tasters and family expenses. Harry Truman paid for his own postage stamps, and Mamie Eisenhower had one personal Secretary; which she paid for herself. We the people should not support him or his family; we did not adopt them. Now we must get each State to Pass Articles of Impeachment as 35 have done. We need 3 more to call a Convention of States. That is our only hope. May God bless us all.

Patricia, if you bother checking for a response, here goes. Your fear for your country is well founded, however to even consider an Art. V Convention to amend the Constitution is so fraught with risk, it equates with the last forward pass in the last seconds of a football game: it will either be missed, or will be caught, or will be intercepted by the opposition.
Soros and his followers have a plan to intercept the Convention and insert their proposed amendments, like the one to do completly away with the Electorial College, getting ready for the day open borders has made the minorities the majority, and the death of the E. College will allow the new majority to win elections in all cases. That’s just one plan of many for them to do once the door is open to re-writing or amending the greatest governing document ever from the hands of mankind.
For anyone else who might know the Communist thesis for the “third way:” Thesis (the forward pass-caught), Anti-thesis (missed), Synthesis (intercepted). That’s the left’s, the progressive answer to these proposals that many on the right presently think offer solutions. They in fact only make it easier for the left to continue to have it’s way with us
Of course, some of those favoring an Art V are honest and fearful of where the country is headed, but being gullible to those who for whatever reason are pushing from leadership positions is not only risky in the extreem, but distructive to what little is left operational of our Constitution and the rule of law.

If you count the people who have died on his watch, the destruction of the office of the presidency, the total disregard to the constitution, the disdain for those who “cling to their bibles and their guns”, the weapons for the terrorist groups through Benghazi, the gun running, the voter intimidation through the “new black panthers”, and all the other disgraceful behavior before and during the presidency, as well as the overreach as witnessed by the actions of the US Supreme Court, only cowards would not put him up for impeachment. It is time for all the elected House of Representatives to man up and do their duty. If the PC police strike fear in their hearts, they should not have run for office in the first place. Disgusting, Shameful, Dishonest, Cowardly, Lets elect all the used car salesmen to the House. We certainly would trust them more!

I checked in with MSNBC, CNN and CBS and BIG SURPRISE!!! They are dogging Boehner for racism, dredging up more phony scandals, and now picking on poor Baracky Poo ……. Disgusting! He truly has all the major networks and cable outlets EXCEPT Fox in his hip pocket. I get very upset over the lawlessness of the government and Obama – but more than that I am frightened!

I too am frightened. Never have I felt so disconnected from a President as I do from the current chief executive. I find I have absolutely no common ground with this President whose ideology and whose ethics are suspect at best and felonious at worst. I also feel as if my role as an American is to be silent. It is to do what I am told to do and accept what I am told to accept unless I want to invite the IRS into my life on a much more personal and threatening manner. I am no more than one of those farm animals characterized by George Orwell whose role was to silently subsist or else to risk attack when the leaders unleash their dogs on those who fail to comply. Did Orwell know Barack Obama? The talk of the administration’s valuing diversity is a joke. The joke points to the president’s hypocrisy. The greatest irony is that it is these people in the 60’s and 70’s who defied “the establishment” and exorted Americans to “question authority.” They were the SDS, the Students for a Democratic Society. They were the radicals who dared challenge authority. Now they are “the establishment.” Now they dispute and demean and debase anyone else who challenges the authority, the ideology, and the actions of the administration and of this president. Suddenly dissent becomes the province of the racist or anarchist. Truly, diversity has been redfined to serve the narrow and arrogant mindset of those who have taken power, much to the unrest and fear and concern of a majority of Americans.

Boehner is wasting my tax $ and time. This lawsuit will accomplish nothing. What judge will even hear the case? And, if one should hear it and issue a ruling, who’s going to enforce the ruling? Holder’s corrupt Justice Dept.?

Get real. This lawsuit is a dog and pony show to CYA (his) because this is an election year and he has to “Look” like he’s doing something without actually doing anything.

This lawsuit is a farce….start impeachment proceedings…do something useful.

Boehner has already won his primary. Are you suggesting that his constituents should now vote for the Democrat opponent? Or merely that he should step down from his position as Speaker of the House?

Amen! Do it quickly. We have been living in fear of what this ,”King” wanna be will do next for so long. We have seen our beloved America going down the toilet because of his arrogance. He has to be stopped!

What is the Senate afraid of? What does he have over their heads?

It is time Americans get on their knees and pray for forgiveness and rebuild this nation by first by cleaning house! The Big White House!

I agree with PO’d Veteran. I would vote for that amendment. Those of our representatives should be just that, representatives of America’s citizens. They have no right to make themselves rich at the expense of the struggling citizens. We must have a say in what they do. I believe it is critically important to remove the law-breakers in office and punish those who have violated the laws of the Constitution. We NOW need to elect a new president and vice president and get rid of those who are supporting Obama’s takeover agenda, and NOT wait for him to further divide and destroy us, which he is doing.

NOTHING IS GOING TO GO ANYWHERE BECAUSE THE ROOT OF A LOT OF THE PROBLEM OF MOVING THINGS ALONG IS ERIC HOLDER. HOLD-ER of anything against his buddy Obama. HOLD-ER of documents we needed for Fast and Furious – and heaven knows what else. The IRS scandal will go just as far as Fast and Furious because Obama’s fellow terrorist of the people, Mr. Holder is looking the other way, and WILL NOT appoint an Independent Prosecutor. Why does he have to? Why not get the Supreme Court to do it? I wouldn’t trust anyone Holder put up, would you? Look at the lady in charge of investigating — Boseman – an Obama funder and supporter. That’s like putting a 9 year old in charge of guarding the ice cream. Anyway we turn, we will run smack into a brick wall. We’ll go see the D’Souza movie next week. Saw 2016 and it is chilling. GO SEE AMERICA, PEOPLE……and take a neighbor, Liberal or not. Too many folks don’t realize we are losing our core freedoms and liberties to Mr. Obama’s agenda.

Bravo! You hit the nail square on the head. I know nothing of Holder’s background, but the man posing as our Pres. was a pothead at a very early age. There are pictures of his being in Hawaii with a van full of other teens. They would fill the van with smoke and inhale it as long as they could. I was a psychiatric nurse for over 20 years. I learned and observed that the age you start using pot or any other drug is when your emotional growth stops. This tells me that we have a sitting President with the emotional age of 12-14 years. This is part of the reason he feels it is more important to play golf rather than attend to business. Kids love to go on a lot of vacations. Kids have no good idea of the value of money; thus we just keep on printing more even if it is of little value. Kids of that age have no concept of working for a living. They want to give to their friends and only have friends who agree with them. Thus, Mr. Holder thinks like Barrack Hussein (now that is scary),

Interesting comment about pot and emotional growth. Never heard that but it sounds right. As to bhos tendency to surround himself with synchophants, this is another trait held in common with potheads. They only want to be around other stoners. I knew dozens of people in the seventies who acknowledged that pot turned out to be a major negative in their lives, yet now we seem to be rushing headlong into an open armed acceptance of it as anything from a panacea to a harmless pass time.
