AMAC Members Get Special Pricing on Service Line and Plumbing Protection from American Water Resources

Sponsored by American Water Resources

Many homeowners aren’t surprised when told that they’re responsible for repairs needed to their home’s interior plumbing system, but what about when repairs are needed for their home’s water and sewer service lines that are outside and underground? In most cases, a utility company is only responsible for the water and sewer mains, and responsibility for the lines running to the house falls squarely on the homeowner. Many people may be unprepared for the cost of unexpected repairs when a problem arises.

A Simple Solution

Fortunately, there’s a way to get affordable protection from these potential problems. By enrolling in American Water Resources’ (AWR) optional protection programs — the Water Line and Sewer Line Protection Program, and the In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program — you could be saved from the hassle and expense of covered repairs.

AMAC has selected AWR to provide the optional Water Line and Sewer Line Protection Program, and the optional In-Home Plumbing Emergency Program, to its members. For a low monthly fee, AWR will protect homeowners from unexpected service line and plumbing repair costs.

Why You Should Be Concerned

Water and sewer service line problems are typically not covered by standard homeowners’ insurance policies, and they can be complicated and expensive to fix. These types of problems can happen at any time. Without protection, you could be left having to pay for costly repairs.

Aging pipes and seasonal changes could cause a leak or break to your home’s water service line. Those same issues and invasive tree roots could lead to a clog or blockage to your home’s sewer service line. Similarly, interior water supply lines can leak or break, as can water shut-off valves — even a hidden-but-necessary item like a washing machine valve can suddenly stop working properly. Clogged drain lines at sinks or toilets can also be a problem.

AWR Programs Available to AMAC Members

If you’re enrolled with American Water Resources protection and you experience a problem, just call AWR. AWR’s Customer Care line offers 24-hour support, 7 days a week. If your problem is covered, AWR will send a licensed, insured plumber from their approved contractor network to your home to fix the issue — and get your life flowing normally once again. (A $50 service fee applies when a contractor is dispatched to your home for sewer line and/or in-home plumbing claims.)
