AMAC Trump Survey Results

Trump Travel ban speech immigration recoveryAs an organization deeply committed to traditional American values, the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), prides itself on fighting for the conservative principles of faith, family, and freedom. We take our marching orders from our 1.3 million members, and we make a persistent effort to listen to and represent their issues and concerns as mature Americans.

In early September 2017, AMAC conducted a ten-question survey of its membership regarding President Donald Trump’s performance since he assumed office in January. This poll was conducted via a secure online form and received over 48,000 responses.

The results of this poll reflect the thoughts, views, and judgements of a significant portion of America’s senior population.

Going forward, we plan to use these results to guide us as we continue advocating for our members.

President Trump is doing his best to honor ALL of his campaign promises, unlike any other president in my lifetime (1958 – present). Just imagine if he had even a few democrats support some of his efforts just how much more positive results we would see in positive reforms of medical care, education, prisons, immigration, pharma and so much more . But this is just it, none of the dems and probably half of the repubs want to see Mr. Trump have ANY successes. He is the ultimate anit-establishment president and he threatens the secret-society-handshake-closed door swamp full of politicians who only think of their own wealth and never consider doing anything to help the country as a whole. Donald Trump is walking the high wire without a net….shame on DC politicians. I guess the big thing that MSM does not report on is that President Trump had successfully nominated and placed about 180 new federal judges who are not activists. The only Obama legacy (leaving so many open benches) that will lead to positive results in years to come.

Very enlightening, the survey and all the member comments. I was relieved to see very little character assassination among the comments–we are, after all, supposed to be “mature citizens.” There are always trolls who apparently join online discussions just to make negative, argumentative statements. The best way to rebuff those people is to simply ignore them, thereby indicating they just aren’t worth our time or trouble. They add nothing to the discussion.

It is comforting to know I have aligned myself with others who have similar views about our republic, our constitution, personal responsibility, and the rule of law. Someone called the results of the survey “slanted.” It seems fairly obvious that any other outcome would mean we all may as well go back to AARP. President Trump is struggling against what has aptly been described as “the swamp,” sadly, that has turned out to be not just the Democrats but also the Republicans inside the beltway. None of our elected representatives in either political party have been listening to us for a long time. They have been telling us just what we want to hear until we elect them and then going back on their campaign promises. They still aren’t listening.

President Trump was our message to Washington–loud and clear. Wise up, guys!

As an individual “deeply committed to traditional American values” I am very disapointed in the results of this survey. As a conservative it makes me wonder if I am a member of the wrong organization. I guess “character counts” only applies to Democrats.

These results show me just how desperate the mature population was with the socialist experiment we barely survived. Voters said loud and clearly “enough of this deconstruction of our great republic!” And “Making America Great Again” sounded good to so many. As a business owner, I have been a Trump fan for over 30 years, since the Ice Rink Episode. I truly didn’t know how he would do against the cesspool pols in DC. But I know some of the deals he gutted out against world leaders, and he does know how to structure and negotiate for what he wants. And he is a moral man, unafraid to stand by his principles. He has waffled on some points, but once he determines the importance and takes a committed stand, he can give you chapter and verse the why and wherefore of his decision.

It is very obvious that the FAKE news polls avoid polling the voters that put our president into office. I find it quite interesting that the total favorable responses amount to 90-95 present compared with the less than 50 present of the embedded anti-constitutional dissenters. I think it is time to resurrect the old saying of; “AMERICA, LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!”. That would go a long way towards our goal of MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! The ‘good ol’ boys’ in congress need to wake up and join the new leader in town. Barak HUSSEIN Obama’s Chicago style street gang of eight needs to be put on notice that WE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT BE BULLIED.
We will respect and honor ALL of our American History and its ICONS. There is deeply rooted belief, respect, and honor in American symbols and ideals such as: The Star Spangled Banner, U.S. Constitution, our motto—IN GOD WE TRUST, our FLAG, and the fact that FREEDOM is not free. For these things we should be committed to affirm and preserve by what ever means deemed necessary following the supreme example of our founding fathers and patriots!!

After reading most of the posts on this subject, and responding to most of them, I would like to ask Mr. Dan Weber if he could possibly take this whole survey responses to show President Trump just how many loyal Americans and Conservatives feel about him, and the work he is doing on a daily basis to try to make America Great again. I know he works tirelessly and it must be a drain on his strength but whenever I see him on the OAN (One America News) network, he always looks so fresh and ready to go at it again. That is truly the spirit of a dedicated American and President and one can’t help but admire him for all he is doing for us and our country and the world! Thank you, Mr. President!
I was impressed with most of the posts as we seem to share the same views, and there were only a handful who were rather skeptical or negative about their thoughts and feelings but I hope they will feel differently very soon.
Lastly, I would like to thank Mr Weber for giving us this opportunity and platform so we can “voice” our thoughts and feelings, good, bad or indifferent, since we are individuals with different views all coming together and sharing what we feel and think. God Bless you and God Bless our President and the United States of America!

I’m glad to be among so many of the AMAC Army supporting this president. Although we don’t all think exactly alike on the issues facing this country, it is reassuring that Donald Trump has pulled us together and is determined to bring action on the most important ones. YOU RINOS BETTER PAY ATTENTION; IF YOU CONTINUE TO THWART HIS EFFORTS AND STAGNATE OUR PROGRESS, THINK ABOUT PACKING YOUR BAGS AND GETTING OUT OF WASHINGTON!
There have been precious few instances of this kind of cohesion (9/11 comes to mind), and it feels good.

Pols on both sides of the isle had better take heed or there will be wholesale changes in 2018. McCain, McConnell, Graham, and Flake are a disgrace to their offices.

The senators who call themselves republicans should, at the least, be ashamed of their lack of support; and at the most, they should be in fear of loosing their jobs. Have they completely forgotten they were elected to represent the people and not themselves? Please encourage new candidates to run for office to replace the career politicians. For example, Mississippi’s two senators are the absolute pits!

Betty, you are right and the we, the voters must also take an interest in those we vote for so that we don’t constantly make the same mistakes of sending the same losers back to Washington only to see them do the same, old thing and forgetting about the people they represent. We are intelligent enough to know the kind of person we’d want to represent us and who can and will get the job done, as opposed to the ones who are only interested in saving their jobs and wasting precious time and space doing so. The voters in all of the states must really take an interest and pay attention to what is happening in our country and the behavior of our leaders in Washington. We have a choice, so let’s all make informed choices in the people we send to Washington to represent us, otherwise, we can take the blame for sending the wrong ones. That’s taking responsibility for OUR actions!!! CA’s representatives need to go…I think they’ve overstayed their welcome and are past their prime, and when that happens, they become whiners. There should be an age limit imposed as to when they need to retire, like how it is in the private sector…65 is a good age.

I am very disappointed that Congress has failed at repeal then replace the PPAHCA. Now more than ever we need to quit subsidizing Health Insurance Companies. Personally I think Trump is an ass but an ass is better than a criminal. My wife of 45-years and I are middle class owning our home and killed by income taxes so any reform that cuts taxes to married couples making less than $100,000 is very welcome in this household.

While it is clear that most AMAC members support the President, our voices are not being heard, or are simply being ignored. We need a serious campaign,in this Country to displace the Socialist,Progressive and just downright Communist class of “Educators” that infiltrated our Places of Learning starting in the 1950’s. These criminals must be “weeded out” before we can begin to restore a generation of Truthfully Educated Children that are willing to Enforce Truth or Consequences! Godspeed to All

I’m all for that! A lot of the colleges/universities have gone by the way of instilling “political correctness” in their classrooms and their method of teaching is downright evil to the students, and sadly, since they are impressionable, this is what they end up believing by the time they become graduates and if they become teachers, they then teach the same thing to their young students, and so it goes. I call it brain washing. They don’t leave much room for the students to learn from a broad spectrum of subjects and I also blame the college boards for hiring these “questionable” professors who are wanting to promote their own agenda. And sadly, some of the school teachers are also members of Antifa…why?….because they learned Antifa’s way of thinking from a young age and all through college, it’s now their “religion.” I wonder if parents of college students get to see what is being taught by their professors and whether they agree or disagree with their curriculum, or just see their kids when they come home for the holidays. It would be a waste of hard-earned dollars to send a child to college for 4 or more years only to turn out to be a part of a Socialist, Progressive movement that their parents might not approve of. Too late…brain washing is already done!!! And we should hope they never become our politicians!!!!!!

AARP is strictly a money-making enterprise. I don’t believe they care about seniors except for the millions dollars of commissions they make selling insurance and other services to us. Someone should find out what their CEO and top executives earn. As for DACA, to my memory Trump send he would end it and now he has. I don’t recall him saying that he would deport the young people that were brought here. Neither the Repubs or the Dems will vote to send them home. But any legislation passed should not allow them ever to vote in elections and they should not be granted citizenship, but some kind of permanent permission to stay if they have no criminal record and which can be taken away if they ever have a criminal record in the future.

You are right! There should be stiff stipulations to the DACA group IF they are not deported, and if they break any laws, deportation should take place ASAP. I know Pres. Trump is trying to be fair with his decision. If a law is put in place, then neither the Dems nor Republicans will have a say to not deport them. And if the “anchor baby” rule is done away with, the DACA group will not be able to vote unless they actually become American citizens, or become criminals. The laws need to be followed to the letter so people will know that America is not only the place to live in, but it’s also a country not to be taken advantage of, as we are a nation of laws and order. America needs to gain it’s respect again after years of misguided leadership and poor execution of its laws.
I was a member of AARP for 20 years but when I saw that they were one of the staunch supporters for Obamacare, I stopped my membership. I also noticed the path they were taking in reading their magazine and they became more political than they were helping and advocating for the seniors, and that also left a “sour taste in my mouth”for that group. They kept on sending me letters wanting me to rethink my membership with them, and finally, after getting several letters, I scribbled AMAC on the front page and sent it back to them and that was the last I heard from them! Made my heart sing!!!

I am happy with the results of this survey as I was one of the strong supporters all the way! I want America to be Great again and it’s going to take all, if not most, of the leaders from both sides to get on the same page with President Trump and support him with the difficult task he has taken on to help our country. I hope the bi–partisan groups saw this survey and realize how strongly we feel about our president and that they should be ashamed of themselves if they’re part of the defiant ones or ” obstructionists.” There is no room for that in Washington with so much work to get done!

You really need to show these results to “George S.”, one of the main hosts on Good Morning America. I used to watch GMA because I like most all of the people on the show, but GEORGE has single handed made me switch away from GMA. Wish that they would replace him. When he interviews someone with whom he disagrees, he hardly lets them get a word in edgewise and he argues with them. That’s not an interview in my book!

We ha e a bunch of Republicans congressmen and Senators that will have give up a lavish lifestyle and ‘love/accolades from the media if they actually do something….The government ‘teet’ is going dry and they are not doing anything to help nourish the ‘cow’. They are a bunch of users and usurpers.. I say ‘Primary everyone of them…Start with McConnel and Ryan….they are doing nothing to help THEIR leader. They should not be governing. They got what they asked for from them people/voters but don’t listen….’Primary’ them all…get them out of office. Impeach them I don’t care but get them out of governmemt. Primary them….did I say ‘primary then enough?

There is already a group of high level Republicans who are in the process of ousting Paul Ryan and perhaps they should also have McConnell in their cross hairs. The other one is Lindsay Graham and John McCain too. Those are the “bumps’ in the road that will lead to nothing if they are not removed. I think there are also 2 females who need to be unseated and Flake from AZ. Wow…2 from AZ…..I hope the people in that state will think twice about voting for those 2 again! Voters need to take responsibility too in the people they vote for as that’s what makes or breaks our govt. And let’s be sure that only true American citizens get to vote..none of the likes like felons, illegal immigrants, deceased people or mentally challenged people, like they did when Obama ran for president. If they ask for ID, so be it! Let’s do it right! Let’s bring back honesty and integrity in the voting process.
