AMAC’s Position on First National Bank of Omaha Dropping the NRA

Dan Weber republicans recess tax death tax entitlement programs NRA bankDear Valued Members,

You may have heard the news that First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) announced they are discontinuing their relationship with the NRA’s VISA Card program. Because AMAC supports the NRA and the AMAC MasterCard program is managed by the FNBO, we strongly protested the Bank’s action. Our executive team met with FNBO’s executives to discuss the impact of the bank’s decision for AMAC’s members.

AMAC is currently under contract with FNBO to provide the MasterCard service and the bank has indicated our relationship will continue. When we searched for a bank to give our members the best deal on credit cards, we determined FNBO was an excellent option, especially since they had a relationship with the NRA. Interestingly, several large national banks turned us down using various excuses for not wanting to do business with AMAC. We suspect these national banks reviewed our website and discovered our conservative stance on issues that might not reflect their viewpoint. But AMAC chose FNBO because of their arrangement with the NRA.

Be assured, we will continue to press FNBO to reverse their decision on the NRA affiliation because we believe this is a serious error. If we are able to secure a replacement bank that offers better terms then the present FNBO, we will not hesitate to change. AMAC promises to continue to support conservative organizations, especially the NRA.

If you wont stand up to FNBO them maybe AMAC is not the organization for me. I would rather have no Amac credit card than be part of FNBO. If you are still with them when it is time for me to renew, I will leave.

As long as AMAC MasterCard program is managed by the FNBO, I will not carry any FNBO credit card!

Stopped Flying Delta due to their stand against NRA. Noticed all news on airlines and at airports are certainly not mainstream

I really was considering joining AMAC after I received the information in the mail. I cannot join because of your position with a communist bank. Change banks and I will be more than happy to join

You should change banks. If FNBO does not support the Second Amendment, Amac should change banks. The Constitution is certainly more important than a percentage point or two!

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered…. I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies…. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.” “Thomas Jefferson”

If you can find another bank, I’m in. Tired of people caving to liberal bias, threatening and just plain racism against conservatives. Can’t seem to stop the hate, need to change the family, not laws. What banks are you looking at?

Funny thing, I at one point was looking at getting a credit card with this bank. I wanted to get rid of my amazon card for their affiliations. I am so glad I did not make the switch. I consider companies like FNBO no better than the old Soviet Union. They would say they were doing what they did for the people. I’ll bet FNBO says the same thing. Last time I looked my credit score was 840 so I feel I should be an appealing customer. I will monitor your site so when you do get a new bank that believes in freedom for all the people will go with their card.

I returned my card cut up in many pieces to First Bank of Omaha with a letter telling them of my disgust over their decision. Received a letter back saying that I had closed my account already and they really didn’t care. In the process of eliminating National Car Rental and Delta for their stance on the NRA also.
Boycott the way the libs do!

Less than a week ago I subscribed to AMAC because I love that you support conservative issues. I would also like to have a card with you. But, until the First National Bank of Omaha reverses its decision on the NRA, or AMAC changes banks I will not apply for a card. I understand you are under contract and there might be stiff penalties if you break your contract. But, I try to pay close attention to who I do business with and who I support. I recently read a quote that had a great impact on me, “You are what you do; not what you say you will do,” (author unknown.) Again, I am not suggesting you break your contract with NBO, but I will not personally do business with them if they do not reverse their decision on the NRA. I am excited about the programs AMAC offers and looking forward to using many of them.

I hope that you are successful in getting another Credit Card bank. Being an Endowment Life Member of the NRA, I refuse to use my First Bank Card.

I support your view on the NRA . If First National doesn’t change II would agree with a change.

I refuse to support companies that will not support the conservative views that made this Country Great!. Amac must make every effort to move the account to a conservative bank. I have been waiting to renew to see how this gets handled.

I am considering joining AMAC, your relationship with FNBO is concerning as they have dropped their relationship with NRA

Michael

Change banks now. Even if it cost’s us members a little more, it is more important that we stand by our conservative principles and stop giving in to the liberals. If FNBO is naive enough to think that the NRA is at fault for what’s going on in this country, they don’t deserve our business.

Excellent response. We should go a step further and end the relationship with FNBO if this mindset continues. I would also suggest comments regarding sponsors withdrawing from Fox news Ingram program. Someone needs to educate that snot nosed kid with the bad haircut, that it was the failure of the FBI, Local Police, school personnel and the shooters parents, not a lack of gun laws that allowed the shooting to happen. I for one am boycotting the sponsors that withdrew from the program.

You need to review your bank’s/credit card processor terms of use. I wouldn’t use my bank’s online banking because the managing company wouldn’t allow transactions with companies that sold guns, parts, ammo or other “weapons” (undefined). I voiced my concern to the bank and the terms of use changed about a month or two later. Square, the mobile processor does the same. I destroyed my Square reader and severed ties with them.
