Missed question 3. Did not know who was first to reach India. I guessed it was one of Magellan’s accomplishments
on his voyage.

See “Catalan hypothesis” of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_theories_of_Christopher_Columbus also http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/spain/6326698/Christopher-Columbus-writings-prove-he-was-Spanish-claims-study.html and there are other writings if you desire to search. And even if you still affirm Him to be purely Italian, I hold that he is
a Spaniard!

10/10 I learned about those explorers in fifth and sixth grade. I am glad the information stayed with me. I saw Neil Armstrong climb out of the capsule and step on the moon. A great moment for America.

I only missed one! This is due to a combination of good elementary school teachers and lucky guessing!

Well, 6 out of 10 and I sorta guessed on most. Not completely out of touch anyway. Never was great at history.

10/10 Had great 4th & 5th grade teacher who taught Geography & History (back in the early 40’s). He taught the good and bad of exploration and colonization. Then very good teachers in high school re-enforcing the earlier learning.

I think you also have a bit of the Irish in you. Want to pick some lotto numbers for me? Lol! ☘

6 for 10. I put Marco Polo on a boat instead of the Silk Road. Must’ve been the Geico ad that screwed me up. I studied the ‘sploreres in 5th-6th grade too, but I forgot most of what I learned!

Just when I thought I was “brainy” about history, I get humbled. Oh well, never too old to learn and eat humble pie! ??

I find that I know more than I think I do, then again I think maybe it is because I have lived for quite a while.

4 out of 10. I think I need to brush up on exploration. ?

Had to remember school lessons from 40 plus years ago, had 8 right so not too shabby. I wonder how many school students know about these explorers , other than Columbus ( for getting a day off).
