“Get My Payment” App Created to Track Stimulus Payments

checkThe U.S. Department of the Treasury and IRS has launched the “Get My Payment” web application. The FREE app allows taxpayers who filed their tax return in 2018 or 2019 but did not provide their banking information on either return to submit direct deposit information.  Once they do, they will get their Economic Impact Payments deposited directly in their bank accounts, instead of waiting for a check to arrive in the mail.  “Get My Payment” also allows taxpayers to track the status of their payment. The problem with this is, if individuals filed a Form 1099, their data is not available as of yet. This means individuals who needed to update banking information are unable to until the access to individual personal accounts is available. Big problem…

Been trying to use it for two days. Just tells me that based on my information, they are unable to determine if I qualify for a payment at this time. Same for my wife.

Ted Lukowski same for my wife and I, my daughter got her direct deposit but nothing for us. I go to the site and get the same message, and now if you log in too many times it locks you out for 24 hours. Guess were waiting for a check because I cant put in my direct deposit information and they locked me out.

I get the same message. We are within the guidelines for receiving for a couple. Haven’t filed yet this year and had to pay last year. Saw something that they won’t have your direct deposit information if you paid and have to supply it to them, but never gave the option and only gave the notice you mentioned. Now we’re locked out for 24 hours.
