Gold Star Tribute

Gold Star Tribute

He knows. He knows the day and time. He knows the heart of one who fights and falls. He knows the heart of each one left behind. He knows each soul who lives because we lived, and those who live because we died. He knows.

He knows the ache and stress of trying, to live for love, yet dying. He knows the darkness of our end, brightness of new beginning. He knows we meet again, better, stronger, later.

He knows the hawk, that like the dove, takes wing with purpose.  He knows the courage shown to go, shown again that day. He knows so much we do not, so much He does not say, except in signs and symbols, shown along the way.

He knows it hurts. He knows we grow. He knows it is not where we fall or when, but how full the heart, how real the hope, how much we cared, and then –.  If not a sparrow falls without His knowing, not an Eagle either. If not a hair stirs without His knowing, love surrounds our going.

But going is only what it seems, to those from whom we leave. Coming is more the point, gone mortal sorrows, granted full reprieve. None of this makes sense, not the loss or sorrow, empty feeling, new with each tomorrow – except that meaning comes in every breath we breathe, a chance to be, to give, to step forward as they did, to live until we leave.

He knows, and nothing else matters except that we do too. Not politics or prose, not the din of battle, not when, where, or how we fall, no matter worldly prattle.  What matters is this – that all we touch we leaven, clear in the view, held firm and true, that we meet again in heaven.

He knows the heart of one who fights and falls, knows the hearts they leave.  He knows the depth of love and honor shown, sword, reward, and sorrow. He knows how heavy is a heart consumed by grief, and how light the one that parts in peace, lifted by belief.

Believers will be the first….in a wicked world that we have become..

That’s for certain. What else is for certain, many men and women become military for reasons that are just. But, today a lot of people enter into the ranks, have alternative intentions . See it everyday, especially when many become civilians again and enter into the political sphere. When we are enlightened through the holy spirit, everything becomes elementary. And being a voice has great consequences, and adamant about searching out truth and standing upon the pillars of truth.Biblically, one can read the scriptures a million and one times, and still doesn’t make sense in the flesh of the world. For the will of the flesh longs for worldly acceptance and statice or stature. From a biblical perspective, we are to be submissive to authority, and we are to walk accordingly to the spirit…But yet, we are and have been walking after worldly ways, as we look around..We can compare these truths throughout history and make comparisons to generations after generations..Our governing bodies have become ( and appreciating our military ) has become second fiddle to what we once knew. Our governing bodies have become tyrannical in ways and means, and it is our just duty to speak out against these tyrant’s..As our founders once governed from a biblical standpoint, but, no longer, corporate America and all across the world has hijacked our governing bodies and have used them as fronts. All while using our men and women in uniform to their advantage to gather and hoard more wealth. Is judgement day coming upon us? For everything has a season, and the season is upon us to lay a cornerstone upon a new foundation…We can revert back to scriptures and find where we were and where we are and where we are headed or going.Ephesians 5:9-111599 Geneva Bible9 (For the fruit of the [a]Spirit is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth.)10 Approving that which is pleasing to the Lord.11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but even [b]reprove them rather.A lot of people solely lean on the good which we are taught by scholars who study the word of God, and every Sunday when we in congregations, we are filled with the good sermon, fill good stories. But, the overall truths, God is a wrathful God, and Sodom and Gomorrah is a prime example..Ecclesiastes 12:7-141599 Geneva Bible7 And dust return to the earth as it was, and the [a]spirit return to God that gave it.8 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, all is vanity.9 And the more wise the Preacher was, the more he taught the people knowledge, and caused them to hear, and searched forth, and prepared many parables.10 The Preacher sought to find out pleasant words, and an upright writing, even the words of truth.11 The words of the wise are like goads, and like nails [b]fastened by the masters of the assemblies, which are given by one [c]pastor.12 And of other things beside these, my son, take thou heed: for there is none end in making many [d]books, and much reading is a weariness of the flesh.13 Let us hear the end of all: fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.14 For God will bring every work unto judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good or evil.

As a Gold Star mother, I really appreciate these words – they answer the question I am asked so often, which is “How do you go on?”

God is Great! Though He wants all to repent and believe He knows many will refuse His gift of salvation.
