Obamacare and the Midterms

JedediahVia Jedediah Bila at Breitbart News

While you’re enjoying Christmas leftovers, don’t miss this little piece of news.

The Hill reports:

The GOP has the advantage heading into 2014’s midterm election, according to a new poll from CNN.

Republicans lead Democrats on CNN’s generic congressional ballot by 49 percent to 44 percent after the tumultuous start of ObamaCare.

That’s a huge 13-point swing from October, when Democrats had the edge following the government shutdown. At that point, Democrats were up by 50 percent to 42 percent on a generic ballot test.

Obamacare, Obamacare, Obamacare. It was a huge problem for Democrats in 2010 and it’s starting to be a huge problem for them when it comes to 2014.

It’s also a problem that a fixed website won’t mend, as the website is one small part of an enormous policy disaster. People are losing their insurance, their doctors, their freedom, and their options. That goes well beyond “website glitches” or “bumps in the road.”

Health is personal. Mess with people’s health care and I assure you that they will make their voices heard–in speech, in writing, and in votes.

My thoughts exactly PaulE. We can NOT become complacent about the 2014 elections. Three million Consetvatives/Republicans did in 2012 & look what happened.

On another subject, the EPA (with Obama’s blessing) has declared war on the coal industry. If you get your electricity from a coal powered powered plant you have probably seen an increase in your electric bills. Obama told us he was going to do this during his 1st presidential campaign but obviously a lot if people weren’t listening (wow, no surprise there). This is causing an increase in consumer goods also because of higher energy costs.

I’m sure you have also heard about the millions that have been wasted on numerous green energy companies which took the money and then went bankrupt within a few months and this administration continues to pursue this with no regard to the waste.

I have nothing against environment protection but Obama is doing this in a very short time frame which has caused a lot of people to lose jobs before ensuring there are other similar jobs these people can go to. There should be an alternative firmly in place before devastating an industry. The alternatives they are pushing are not taking up the slack but Obama is pushing his agenda anyway with NO CONCERN to the affects it is having. Sound familiar?

Keep this in mind also up to the 2014 elections!!

The plan has always been for the working class to fund the country. His whole intent is to take our money and spread it around. He wants a two class society (the very rich and the poor). It’s sad that so many people were so easily duked into thinking he cared for this country. He ‘s policies are toxic to our well being.

I’m starting to get a sense of deja vu with a lot of people talking about how Obamacare is going to the slam dunk to winning big in the 2014 elections. That it’s all inevitable and there’s nothing to do but wait for election day. Somehow I don’t think so. While I would hope that is the case, do I need to remind anyone how 2012 was going to a slam dunk too? Things turned out far differently from what we all expected.

We cannot afford to be complacent. I mean nearly everyone expected Romney would easily beat Obama, given his abysmal first term track record. Yet the majority of voters (people sitting at home pouting and not voting don’t count) ignored Obama’s record and gave him another four years. They also maintained Democrat control of the Senate. Even if Obama won by voter fraud, which no doubt some will respond with, the point at the end of the day is he’s still sitting in the Oval Office today.

So we need to assume that nothing is a given. We have to make sure people get educated and know the facts on not just Obamacare, but the whole slew of this administration’s screw-ups. We need to make sure the Republican Party doesn’t snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, which the leadership seems well versed in. In short, we need to be even more relentless than the Democrats in getting out the vote.

I have not done anything about healthcare primarily because I was m not a sheep being led to slaughter. If our federal government steals my tax return I will get very loud about it. Until I am convinced that signing up for anything is in my best interest it will not happen. I priced so called health insurance and the lowest figure I got was a whopping $843 a month and I’m never sick. It seems to me that they as ‘re expecting me to pay for everyone else’s care. For my age, I am expected to pay more than I get for social security. Explain how this is affordable and to whom.

Kathryn, unfortunately you will learn the hard way when the SWAT troopers from the IRS enforcement agency come through your front door looking for you. It’s all about control as obama and his band of merry commies begin eliminating all the opposition protestors whether active or passive.
