Pelosi Sets Up the Next Battle…

Although many are rightfully consumed with the Healthcare.gov website and policy disaster, don’t miss Nancy Pelosi’s latest comments on the budget deal.

The Hill reports:

New revenue must be part of any bipartisan agreement to eliminate the sequester, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Wednesday.

Although President Obama has reportedly signaled an openness to tackle the across-the-board cuts without hiking taxes, Pelosi warned that such a strategy wouldn’t fly with House Democrats.

Get ready for the next battle. Here come the recycled talking points about Republicans being allies of the rich and Democrats looking out for the poor. Get ready for Occupy Wall Street-esque 1% vs. 99% nonsense. Be prepared for the demonization of anyone who dares to seriously address entitlement reform while refusing to cripple job creators.

It’s tired. It’s old. But it effectively assisted Obama’s reelection, so you can count on it heading our way again.

These talking points from the Left are embarrassingly predictable. So, the GOP should already have a marketing strategy in place to combat them before they even pop up.

I’m hoping they’ve learned something from the last few years.

I have contributed to the Republican cause for over 30 years. In all of that time, the institution has failed to promote the American philosophy of self-reliance, hard work and the blessings that flow from that philosophy. In all of that time, the Republican leadership has sought compromise with the adversary.

It is clear the adversary is not satisfied with compromise. They seek to destroy our fine way of life and replace it with their dream of a “common good.” That requires each individual and individuality to be sacrificed for the “common good.” There is no room for free will or for liberty.

I want the Republican Institution to stand and fight for our individual lives and well being and that is what is at stake.

Republicans should know by now what they are up against but from what I see they get whipped every time .

Jedediah can you drop a hint they need to explain entitlement Seniors are afraid they are going to cut their Social Security for many they are living on 800.00 a month and are afraid and don’t support it Republicans need to be sure they make them feel safe and secure they will not be cut. Medicare is also an issue they believe coverages are going to be cut and they will be left to suffer .

Obama had promised that he would post all bills on C Span and people would be able to read the bill’s Republicans should make all bills sent to the Senate be made available to the public so they will no clearly what they proposed and not just a bunch of Liberal spin . Obama never kept his promise

Hi Jedediah, I think we need an ALL-OUT assault on liberal policies! We need to show the world what we are as true Conservative republicans! Small Government! Strong Military! Totally Energy Dependent! JOBS! JOBS! and more JOBS! Bring this country back to its former self!

Jedediah please forgive me for sounding a tiny bit skeptical however if the GOPe has no marketing strategy in place I will not be surprised. They always seem to bend at the slightest bit of pushback which is why Ted Cruz and Mike Lee are so hated by Rove and Co. Someone should take a minute and conduct a real poll among the people showing how popular these two guys are. Not that it would influence Boehner, McCain, Graham, and McConnell but perhaps it would help some members to open their mouths and start helping to drive the narrative.

On a personal note, I want to thank you for your occasional fill in work on The Five. You show rare insight into issues that others could learn from. God Bless and best wishes to your family.
