Reasons ‘Speaker Pelosi’ Is a GOP Dream

Pelosi speaker NancyFresh off her failure to protect illegal immigrants, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has her sights set on the 2018 midterms. And she’s not shy about it: “I just want the Democrats to have the gavel. It doesn’t have to be me, but I’m good at what I do.”

Republicans beg to differ. In fact, Republican campaigns are already branding Pelosi as the face of the Democratic Party to win voters across the country. As Matt Gorman, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, recently put it: “The fact that Nancy Pelosi is the face and leader of the Democratic Party is the gift that keeps on giving for the NRCC. As her colleagues openly grumble that she’s a liability for 2018 and she continues to be the most unpopular politician in the country, I can only say one thing: Go, Nancy, go.”

Even some Democrats are hoping she stops, stops, stops. In the words of Rep. Filemon Vela of Texas: “I think you’d have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top.” Another Democrat recently called her eight-hour House speech a political “stunt.”

The media are equally skeptical. CNN’s Chris Cillizza recently suggested Pelosi is the “Republicans’ secret weapon,” while The Washington Post has highlighted “the Democrats’ persistent Pelosi problem.” Here’s why:

Dismal Approval Ratings

Pelosi’s approval rating consistently remains below 30 percent. Even the left-leaning HuffPost’s Pollster pegs her approval at 28.6 percent. When asked if Pelosi should remain in a House leadership position, nearly half of Americans say she should be replaced. In a Washington chock-full of unpopular politicians, Nancy Pelosi leads the pack.

Her unpopularity is even worse considering the increasing popularity of President Trump’s pro-growth policies. Not only is the president’s approval rating steadily increasing, but 70 percent of Americans rate the U.S. economy as “excellent” or “good” — up from 53 percent in April 2017. Most Americans believe Trump is more responsible for the booming economy than President Barack Obama.

How do you message that one, Nancy?

The Swamp Personified

Pelosi personifies a Washington swamp filled with hypocrisy, lies and elitist sentiment. She epitomizes why 63 million Americans voted for President Trump to drain the swamp and hold establishment politicians accountable to their constituents.

This is the same Nancy Pelosi who defended Obamacare’s passage with: “We have to pass the bill for you to find out what’s in it.” Two years later, she promised “everybody will have lower rates.” Fast forward to 2018, and premiums for the benchmark Obamacare plan will increase 37 percent on average. Because of Obamacare, millions of Americans lost their health insurance coverage altogether, while millions more are seeing higher rates this year and beyond.

Most recently, Pelosi described the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as “Armageddon” and dismissed $1,000 bonuses as “crumbs.” To date, more than 345 U.S. employers have announced tax reform pay increases, 401(k) hikes, or bonuses, benefitting more than 3.5 million working Americans. While $1,000 may seem like “crumbs” to a San Francisco Democrat with a $30 million net worth, many Americans see a four-figure bonus as a month’s rent or a year’s worth of gas station trips.

Fixation on Illegal Immigration

And then there’s the Democratic Party’s Achilles’ heel: Immigration, arguably the top issue that propelled President Trump to the White House. Pelosi is effectively the poster child of the amnesty movement — the same movement that justifies and enables immigrant crime. After Kate Steinle was murdered in San Francisco by an immigrant who came to the United States illegally, Pelosi blamed the “easy access to guns.” Instead of blaming a criminal here illegally, she exploited Steinle’s death to promote gun control.

Pelosi’s top priority is the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, for which she is willing to shut down the government — at the expense of American citizens. Pelosi has even compared DACA immigrants to Japanese-American citizens forced into temporary internment camps during World War II. As she put it: “While their family members were fighting for freedom for America and for the world, they were in camps. And they came for them. And now they are coming for the dreamers.”

Is that how Nancy Pelosi and her Democratic candidates will appeal to American voters? Bring it on. Republican candidates — many running in Trump districts that Democrats must carry — will pummel Democrats touting their Pelosi ties and her misguided “America Second” policies.

Even as political experts and media elites predict a “blue wave” in November, the road map to Republican victory starts and ends with America’s most detestable Democrat. Go, Nancy, go.

The reason she is a GOP nightmare is because she is the best Dem fund raiser. She has enough power to tell people to vote for the ACA and read it later. It would be foolhardy to dismiss her, as this article does.

How about let’s see Nan Legosi’s and her Hubbies tax returns
Might find the real reason why there are crumbs left for the rest of the citizenry
She’s done pretty well for herself
And of course her government position had nothing to do with that
Maybe Mueller can take a look for us

Pelosi and her husband are worth well north if $40 million based on the latest available financial disclosure forms. So to her, $1,000 is indeed crumbs. She probably spends more than that on one night’s dinner tab at the club. That is when she is not billing the American taxpayer for her personal expenses by classifying them as “business related expenses associated with government business”.

Think of the dismal lineup the dems have that’ll be representing them on the campaign trail soon. Bill, Pelosi, cliton, obama, they’ll sure to have a negative impact on the populace. No way the American people will fall for their BS. In the recent Presidential election everytime obama opened his mouth the dems went backward. Same things gonna happen with hillary and pelosi. Its hard to believe thats all the dems have.

I’ve spent a lot of time recently in my local senior center and when the discussion turns to politics, every senior who criticizes President Trump I then ask them if they voted. They always say yes. I then ask did you vote for Trump? They angrily answer heck no. I then say, so you voted for a Communist instead? They look at me like i’m nuts. I then say, if you voted for a Communist, then you must believe in Communism? Because Hillary was endorsed by the American Communist Party and has a history of associating with Communists since the late 60’s? Didn’t you know that? … They almost always get angry and declare President Trump a dictator because they cannot bear to believe that they are ignorant or that they’ve been brainwashed by the Socialist/Communist propaganda they hear on their tv’s. Let’s be honest, when has ANY Republican politician ever call ANY Democrat a Communist? … If our so-called Republican Politicians won’t address the real issues, how are the ignorant masses of people ever to learn the truth? … Yeah, I know, at least half of the Republicans are Commies too. But it’s time to call them out for what they are … Communists! … Nothing is ever going to change, if “We the People” don’t demand the truth be told. … I personally don’t care if I offend anyone, I call them what they are, Communists!

Pelosi along with Schumer are the main reason the Demorats are going down the tubes!!!
Their far left leaning obstruction, no compromise attitude is very destructive to the American way of life. They in hand with the fake news, FBI/DOJ, crooked Hillery are all going to go down in history as the most destructive forces in American history!!! When they care more about Illegal Invaders to America than the American CITIZENS and our veterans that should signal the voters that it is time to VOTE them out of office !!!

Her husband & son probably employee hundreds of illegals in their businesses not to mention their households. Her daughter also. Cooks, housekeepers, gardeners, nannies, etc. Cheap labor. Wonder if she reports payroll taxes?

She is one of the authors of Obamacare. Her credibility is 0. Immigration another 0. Her lies do not give her credibility. All she and her cohorts stand for is socialism. Middle America is paying the price for others and taking more from us. We will end up being the working slave to the elite and the non-working citizens and illegal immigrants.

How about just using the accurate description of “illegal aliens?” That is precise and easily defined by looking in any reputable dictionary.

Nothing like Bella Lagosi Pelosi, the blood thirsty vampire queen of today’s Progressively Communist Democratic Party who can’t help baring her fangs at anything President Trump does. She’s so out of touch with middle class Americans probably because under Socialism/Communism, there is no middle class only the extremely rich business people and the leadership hierarchy of the ruling class and the extremely poor worker slaves. I think it’s wonderful that she extols the virtues of the 40 million criminally illegal immigrants over hard working, over taxed American citizens. And as to her “crumb” comments in describing the $1,000 bonuses Trump’s tax bill gave American workers, she’s certifiably nuts!!! What did EX-President Obama ever really do for the middle class? … Oh, that’s right, he overburdened businesses, especially small businesses, with Obamacare costs to where the only relief the businesses received was to cut their costs by reducing their full time employees to 30 hour workweeks. That’s a 25% pay cut. Thank you Mr. EX-President and Bella and Chucky Schiemiel!!! Too bad our stupid GOP Congressmen and women don’t know how to take advantage of these misdeeds. They disgust me! … Drain the Swamp, Mr. President “We the People” middle class Americans are with you!

You’re always spouting socialism/communism. You’ll like “White Rose, Black Forest” by Eoin Dempsey. It tells of the beginning of Nazism and the promises made, then the actions taken against the people and the promises broken. It describes Nazism as “Hatred, malice, vindictiveness, and spite — the emotions that formed the bedrock of Nazism….” One can see what’s happening here in this story, which is based on real events. So, you’re right!

While I would completely agree with the author’s assessment of Nancy Pelosi being both the personification of the numerous failed policies of the Democrat Party and also the entrenched, bureaucratic mentality of the administrative state that is Washington. D.C., in order for the GOP Party to capitalize on what should their over-whelming advantage this November and retain control of both houses of Congress, the GOP desperately needs to “get their act together”. What I mean by this is:

1) The GOP members of Congress, in both houses of Congress, need to agree on what are the talking points to be used for each major issue. As it stands today, depending on which member of the Congressional GOP appears before a TV camera, you will get wildly different views on where the GOP stands on virtually every issue. This has been a long-term problem for the GOP, so they really need to internally decide amongst themselves, how they will ALL respond to each major issue when asked. This is not a simply task given that the Congressional GOP runs the gamut from fiscal and constitutional conservatives right through progressive liberals with an (R) after their name. So this is a lot like trying to herd a room full of cats. Still it has to be addressed, as the Democrats are ALL progressive liberals at this point and they ALL speak with ONE voice. Getting Millennials and so-called independent voters to understand and appreciate where the GOP stands, which is crucial going forward, on the various issues is hard enough without having the members of the Congressional GOP constantly stepping all over themselves on a daily basis.

2) The GOP members of Congress have to demonstrate they can get things done that are positive for the country. That isn’t the same as simply “getting something passed”, which is how most members of Congress view things. Too much emphasis is placed on simply getting something passed, no matter how bad it may be, just so they can say they “did something”. This ties back to Item 1. As an example, the Congressional GOP wasted much of last year on NOT repealing Obamacare. Which is what at least 70 percent of the Republican voter base wanted and what the Congressional GOP had promised to do once they were in control since 2010. Instead when the opportunity to fulfill their promise to voters came around, they spent 8 months, because they had no actual plan of what they were going to do, tripping over each other with various “repeal and replace” scenarios that were simply minor tweaks to Obamacare. In essence, Obamacare-lite. Such ineptness on other aspects of the Trump agenda can not be repeated in the future, if the GOP expects to not only maintain control of Congress, but grow their majority in both houses of Congress. It is NOT too much to ask that GOP members of Congress actually deliver results that are beneficial to all Americans.

All this was meant as constructive criticism, not a slam on the GOP. Defeating the Democrat Party should always be a cake walk, as their ideas and policies can’t be defended based on either historical and fiscal data. Democrat policies going back decades have always either resulted in higher costs (taxes, regulations), weaker economic growth and lower standards of living or erosion of some sector of the society that they have attempted to engineer to their view of “how it should be”. Honestly, if the GOP could clean up its messaging problem, replace at least a few of the RINOs who consistently cause problems (you all know who they are, so I don’t need to list them) and stay focused on actually delivering positive results, we wouldn’t have even half the number of Democrats we have today in Congress.

Anyway, enjoy the weekend. everyone.
