Iran responded to the killing of Soleimani by firing missiles at US troops in Iraq. Also, the media has made it clear that they wanted war so that they could blame it on President Trump. Finally, some Democrats and liberals in Washington went so far as to root for a terrorist over the people in their own country.

The Convention of the States should publish their ideas for change based on prior constitutional writings made available to the delegates. In my mind there are two Constitutions. The Washingtonian Constitution of the Republic of 1787 and the Jeffersonian Constitution of the Democracies or states. Jefferson initially wrote the Preamble to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia. A month later Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence of July 4, 1776. Col George Mason contributed the Virginia Bill of Rights with contributions to the Virginia Form of Government. John Adams was to flesh out ideas in the 1780 Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Adams continued to write original treaties with foreign powers to attempt to establish the new American presence in the world. Adams as a diplomat was known for his treaty attempts. Jefferson commented on his state constitution by his Notes on Virginia and his rewriting of Virginia’s laws leading in part the disestablishment of religion. Both Commonwealth Constitutions were to be rewritten many times. One later rewritter of Commonweal Constitutions was Luther Gulick in the 1930’s who FDR chose to reign in the new administrative agencies of government or the headless fourth bureaucracy of government after being hired by Massachusetts and Virginia. A decade later the first administrative agency act was passed. Jefferson was to write the First Northwest Territorial Ordinance and tried unsuccessfully to abolish slavery. He did establish the New England township with their many elected officials (not appointed) and free public education for the territories. Soon after as Ambassador to France he aided the Marquis de Lafayette in writing the Declaration of the Rights of Man in 1789 Jefferson’s law student, as Chairman of the Second Northwest Territorial Ordinance, collaborated with Col. Mason in writing the land law for the territories in 1785. The law student continued to produce the Third Northwest Territorial Ordinance of 1787 as well later as Ambassador to France to become a citizen of France for helping write the French Constitution of 1795 as the Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Duty of its Citizens. This third ordinance banned slavery in the territories as well as promoted free education through college and a constitution with a bill of rights for new states with the privileges of the first thirteen states. The last Ordinance was the only legislative act of the former Articles of the Confederacy Congress to pass into law with the new Republic.
However, the third Ordinance of 1787 did not pass the sentries or the closed draped meeting of the Philadelphia Constitutional Convention. Washington initially presented the Virginia Resolves. This document created an executive, a senate and a house of tribunes or representatives. No longer was he Cincinnatus , but now he was Augustus Caesar of Republican Rome with a veto power over both houses of congress as well as head of the military and in charge of foreign policy. Washington as Chairman of the convention would vote on every issue with the delegates of the state of Virginia. Jefferson’s law student was wait listed as first for the convention, but even when one Virginia delegate left was not allowed to join the convention. Col. Mason did not sign the Constitution and with Jefferson’s law student formed the voice of the Anti-Federalists because the Constitution did not include a ban on slavery, a bill of rights and retain sovereignty of the states, nor contain enough checks and balances on a president with a privy council.
Jefferson’s law student did become the unknown President after being four times Governor of Virginia, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, a Senator, Ambassador to France, England and Spain, Secretary of State and Secretary of War, His presidency is known as the Era of Good Feelings.

I value AMAC’s perspective as a flip side to the leftist media perspective. Thank you for providing this resource. Clearly America has lost a terribly important asset: the media’s credibility in political reporting. Mainstream political “news” is now all opinion pieces disguised as news reporting. So we MUST weigh these differing perspectives together to have a more informed position on issues. I wish all Americans who rely only on mainstream media for political awareness would seek a balance of sources that include insights like AMAC weekly news.

Now that President Nancy has finally got this impeachment bill off her desk, the House can now turn its attention to what is needed to run the
country. Infrastructure, immigration, cleaning up health care, balancing the budget. I’m sure the house will now turn its attention to these
matters. Right ? Don’t hold your breath.
One of two things will happen:
1. The House goes back to sleep
2. They look for more Trump-bashing topics

I bet on #2.

A Convention of States is the only way we may be able to get any of the following done.
1) Term Limits for all Congressional, Senate seats, and Supreme Court.
2) Balance Budget with limit on Continuing Spending Resolutions to .current budget. Budget must be renewed every two years.
3) Full Disclosure of all monies received by members of Government.
4) No Bonus Money paid to employees within any governmental department.
5) Right to terminate any government employee, for not meeting the standards of the job, for any illegal use of office, or non payment of income taxes due in any given year.
These are the simplest standards witch our congress fails to address without the people.

Absolutely! As for #5, ANYONE in the private sector knows this is what happens if you are piss poor at your job, steal, embezzle, etc. Perhaps we should also make it illegal for public sector employees to have labor unions for anything other than grievances against management. Everything else is covered by labor laws on the books already. Public sector workers in “critically necessary occupations” cannot strike (police, fire, trash collection, etc.) as we all know they make tremendously more pay than comparable private sector jobs.

In full agreement with this. Hope enough of us can make it happen.

In general, I am for Article V Convention of States, to return to limited, Constitutional government. The pitfall is the law of unintended consequences. Once you open this can of worms, the outcome isn’t guaranteed; many Progressives are busy shredding our Constitution as it is, and they would clearly move to create some sort of globalist, EU oriented monstrosity. It was a struggle for learned Enlightenment men steeped in religion and the Bible to create our magnificent Constitution. I would hate for today’s degenerate intellectual pygmies to have a free hand.

Looking back just a century shows how little our federal taxes were as percentage of our gross income. We need to return to that. Also, federal spending was incredibly low as it should have been. Social security was intended for “retirement” only and now it pays for a lot more than it was designed for, which is why it’s going bankrupt. SSA payments should never exceed what the beneficiary has put into the system plus growth in interest, etc. There are too many people who are collecting many times over what they actually had contributed to the system, which also explains why we’re it’s becoming insolvent. Those of us who have contributed into the system for over 48 years should never have to worry about whether we’ll still get our payment 20 years after we retired.

A convention of the States as described in article 5 of the US Constitution is NOT a Constitutional Convention.
In a Convention of the States there are only the few proposed changes which the State Legislatures either support and pass or decline to pass said changes.
In a CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION the entire Constitution is up for change.
There is a lot of misinformation about this process and much can be learned by contacting your local Article 5 support teams.

I only got politically interested about 35 years ago.
The more I learn about dummycrats the more annoyed I get.

A friend gave me a book to help me see some of the “stuff” that’s going on in the USA’s gov’t. As I got 3/4 of the way through it I had to stop reading for a month. I was getting entirely too angry about what the dummys have done to our USA.

They have turned the USA into a country that steals it’s wealth by stealing your’s from you. The IRS is nothing but a “red herring” to hide the scam.
Inflation is the key to how the dummycrats steal your wealth from you.
The book about this is “The Creature from Jekyll island”.
I tend to think the dummycrats have created another system where they give any country mutiple millions of dollars and those countries have realized that if they give a significant amount of that money back to the official that caused the USA to give it to them in the first place they will get much more. And they do!!

I’m sure an audit of all elected officials of the USA would show most of the money the USA gives to other countries ends up in the pockets of our elected officials!

I think President Trump is, accidently, or intentionally, messing up that little dummycrat scam. And the dummycrats are REALLY p’d about it!!
This economic system was designed by people the dummycrats hired in 1910 to build it. It was designed to steal your wealth from you.

The dummycrats implemented it over a long time because they knew if they implemented it all at once “We the people” would have seen what they were doing to us.
So they implemented it like cooking a frog. Just turn the heat up slowly and the frog will never know what hit it!

If I misrepresented something do let me know.

Julies;
Short term limits and summary expulsion if they miss any detail of conforming to the Constitution.

One of the first things we need to do to get toward a “balanced budget” is to stop the retirement programs for Congress and all political positions. As I understand it, when House & Senate members retire, they collect the SAME PAY they got when they were working. What private sector job in the country has that? Man, if I had that kind of retirement pay, I wouldn’t need ANYTHING ELSE to live on! We need to terminate this preposterous program and put ALL OF THEM on Social Security like the rest of us! These people are retiring after a couple of terms making over $100K! SICKENING!

Iran needs to understand that there is a new sheriff. Donald Trump. Trump has negotiated respectfully with the NOKOS for 2 years. They, and Iran, need to understand that if they refuse to change, they will be hurt. Simple. Just like Salmonella . Any USA citizen who does not understand this needs to have their citizenship revoked. Many so called USA citizens are traitors. They need to be jailed. We need to obliterate Iran as it is today and North Korea. There is no nuance here. Up or down.

Even with all this talk of war, impeachment and liberal right wing influence in our country, what I hear US citizens talk about is Health Care. It’s available but coverage is low and deductibles are high. It’s too expensive and it’s robbing the retirement community of their well thought out senior income.

Are you kidding me? This Iranian “General” whose name is not worth mentioning mastermind the killing of hundreds of American soldiers. How dare the media and our own elected liberal representatives make him out to be a hero. His so called new status of being a “hero” is on the blood of those who stood up to defend our liberties and the freedoms of others; the media and our representatives are yellow, cowards hiding behind their empty, destructive and shameful words that support a known terrorist simply because they hate the President. Look into the faces of the mothers and fathers who lost a sons or daughters due to this monster. Gaze into the eyes of the men and women who came home maimed and crippled because they risked their lives for another. YOU ARE COWARDS LIBERAL MEDIA AND DEMOCRATS; YOU ARE DISGRACEFUL! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHO ACCEPT THIS NARRACTIVE ARE TRULY SHEEP. GET READY 2020 ELECTION IS COMING.

Unfortunately, just passing a test means nothing because many ultra-left Democrats know what’s in the Constitution, but they IGNORE it with their excuse that it’s a “living document” which doesn’t mean what it says because it was “written long ago”. Just look at how THEY INTERPRET the 2nd Amendment! Frankly, the thing that people forget is that the Bill of Rights (1st 10 Amendments) are all critical as to why America is the only nation in the world that has been free of dictators, etc. Our freedoms are ensured by these “rights”. Our nation is great because of the 1st Amendment (though past “interpretations” seem to have gone off the rail with the erroneous so-called “separation of church & state” which was only intended to keep the government out of religion and not the other way around, while the 2nd Amendment ensures the protection of the 1st.
